i have a buff Brahma bantam she incubated and hatched six eggs out of seven. but unfortunately she killed the first chick that hatched.
so we took the pipped eggs out from under her and put them under a heat lamp, all the other five hatched and are doing well.now the broody hen that hatched the chicks is on another set of eggs, they should hatch tommorrow. should i leave the eggs under her and see if she will be a mother or should i take them away when they pip?
(also the dead chick was out of the nest but still in the nest box)
thanks
