Should I leave the heat lamp

Yes, you do. They might die without it unless they are fully feathered and it's warmish outside.

You do need the heat lamp, because then the chicks will get cold and die. Until they get feathers growing in, they need the heat lamp. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I am raising them in my basement do I need any additional lighting or is what's coming from the windows sufficient

i'm brooding in my basement as well and provide addtional light as what comes through the windows isn't much so they get an extra light angled over part of their brooder

You never gave age of your poultry or did I miss it some how

I have 6 that are four weeks old. Two are feathered out, and four are missing the real feathers on their neck.

I then have 6 about a week old chicks

Sounds like you have enough chicks to keep each-other warm now here in Death Valley California
I would be turning down the heat a but to about 70 degrees but be got a whole 1/2" of rain for the
year but you are just about finished if you do not have snow or frost anymore but I might turn the
heat down in the day and keep an eye on them and see if they huddle as this would show they were
cold and huddling in the day is a clear indication it's cold or time to go to sleep .....
