Should I let my chickens out in the rain?

Mine all love the rain. Every so often, they'll rise up, fluff their feathers and give themselves a good shake and go back to scratching. They have plenty of shelter, from the barns, to the bushes and to the hen house itself. If it gets to be a real downpour, they run for cover and sit at the door and watch.

As long as they've feathered out, they're fine.

I rescue my chicks in the rain, even though they have a small shelter on their "play pen." It's meant more for shade then rain protection. It'd be OK, if rain weren't always accompanied by wind out here!
