Should I let recently bought in person eggs sit for a day?

I have incubated birds in the past and normally i would let the eggs sit for a day, but today I bought a batch from a guy and he said they should be ready to set into the incubator-
should I let them for a day?
This guy had a few pairs and said he could only do half a dozen at a time which I find kinda odd, I have had dozen available at a time because of my three hens. what do you all think?

Yes. Resting allows time to be sure that the embryo has returned to the proper position after handling.
