Should i let the girls name the chicks???

We only have laying hens, but most of them are relatively nameless. I have named 2 of nearly 30 chicks(one is named 'favorite' really original, eh?). The rest are called whatever comes to mind. Like the rooster is sometimes called 'roo roo' or something like that if I call him anything. And the ones we cannot tell apart are named a number - 1, 2, 3, 4, And 5. The last one always has the 'and' included in the name. My son has one chick that he picked this year, but it doesn't have a name either. We just aren't into naming the livestock I guess.
