Hi everyone,
I have three chicks that have hatched but have many more to go and this is my first time hatching a big batch of eggs.Should I move the chicks that have already hatched into a separate incubator to dry off completely?i included a picture of the incubator for reference on size.
Thank you!

you could move them, yes. I hatched ducklings and just left them in the incubator until they started disturbing the other eggs. make sure the chicks aren't still too wet, its not good to handle them when they are fresh out of the egg.

Yea they seem to be picking on the ones trying to hatch.im like that is not nice!!!lol

definitely move them then. they seem active enough to get out of there. you don't want them to end up rolling the other poor eggs around

Ok thank you.do you know what temperature I should put the incubator at since it’s a still air incubator?

In the incubator for the chicks that are trying to dry out,I should have the humidity up?

I think the humidity can stay maybe a little lower. once they are relatively dry though, get them in the brooder

I plan too!they are just picking on my chicks that are trying to hatch.i just think they shouldn’t have to be picked on when they are helpless and can’t defend themselves.its hard work tryin to hatch lol

agreed, hatching is indeed hard work. :p
Chicks will naturally pick on the others, they want to explore!
