Should I or Shouldn't I?

Well, what breed or gender is sorta kinda hen or roo? Isn't it?

Man, I'm just about ready to jump in the car and drive to the feed store where I can stand for a few minutes staring at the brooder and seeing if the itch to get them gets stronger or weaker...LOL.

Go for it

I bet you won't regret if you do, but you might if you don't get any

So do they develop along the same lines as our Buff O's have? Roos slower to feather out bigger feet and thicker legs, more upright posture, etc? Or do they dance to the beat of their own drummer?:cd

With my Rhode Island Reds, the comb isn't a good indicator of gender at that age. (Usually takes another week or two.) I can sex them better by looking at thickness of legs, shank color (roosters more yellow, hens more red) and feather and back growth and development. Males tend to feather out a little slower and have broader backs.
