Should I place my eggs upright? Or on its side (using egg cartons)

How should the egg be placed before lockdown if the eggs are going to be In a egg carton? Bottom side up? Side to side? If possible please include pictures

You should lay them on their side like they would be in the a real chickens nest, not in a carton. Humidity should be around 75%

Some chicks hatch out of the wrong end of the egg due to wrong humidity or other things. So a chick may not be able to hatch if in a carton. The eggs should be laid on their side.

Okay thank you, this Wednesday is lockdown day, so I wanted to be prepared as much as possible any other tips would be greatly appreciated from anyone

When and if chicks hatch, wait until they're dry and fluffy before putting them in the brooder also wait for as many to hatch and fluff up as you can (you don't want to ruin the other chicks chances at hatching). Make sure the first thing the chicks get in the brooder is water first, then their food second, this prevents pasty butt. During lockdown try not to open the brooder At All, only open it to increase humidity. Also chicks may roll around in their eggs days before they hatch, something some people like to do is actually talk to the eggs just like a real mother chicken would.
