Should I provide light during duck hatching?

I have my incubator in the basement and rarely turn the light on down there. Should I turn the light on during incubation?

I hatch chicks a lot in an incubator I try to make the environment as real as possible so when thinking about an egg underneath the hen it's dark I do however have a small light next to the incubator but I don't think it's really necessary until they all hatch I hope this helps thank you
