Should I purchase this bantam Wyandotte pair?

Okay, I contacted the person selling them - I should get them Wednesday! I might also be getting a trio, just depends if I can find enough coop space. I was just planning on using my rabbit hutch which I think is just big enough for a pair, not a trio. But all chicken things are possible if I try

The sleeping area, I think, is a little over 3 square feet, the run is, I think, 4-6 sq ft. I found out the other hens are younger and are the daughters of the breeding pair. I decided just to stick to the pair. Unless you think I should buy one of the 4 month old daughters?

I got them today! I'm pretty happy with the pair, not perfect, but good enough for me

The rooster is pretty nice - A little skitish, but not aggresive in the least. The hen is more skitish and aggresive than the rooster though... Hmmm....

Oh, and I was wondering... Do you guys by any chance know how much their eggs would be worth to sell? Or their chicks? I have a hen, who is broody more often than not, who would love to hatch them when she starts sitting on an empty nest box. And when my Wyandotte bantam is laying and my silkie is busy raising her first batch, I could sell some eggs, since I won't have a use for them

Well, I looked up a definition of Wyandottes and it says that white Wyandottes are rare. I would go to shows to sell them, so that you can get a better deal.

That, or you could do 3 dollars an egg, if they don't want 12.

Hatching eggs run from $1-$5/egg. You can sell on places like eBay too. I went back and looked, they are cute birds. I've never seen them in white before. The male looks better than the female IMO, but I think they are both nice. How are they doing since you brought them home?
