You may look into what your states standards to say something is Vegetarian or Organic are. I had came across something a while ago but I dont know if it was from USDA or the state.

I think I will take the vegitarian claim down maybe just say fed no animal biproducts. I am not labeling them as organic because the feed they get is not organic. Thanks for the suggestions.

You can order egg cartons that have anything you want printed on them. I wonder if it would cost too much to have all that printed on the lid....also with a bold line about bringing back the cartons for refills! That way you can save on paper, ink AND cartons!

I think some of the information is great but it all seems like a lot of extra information that isn't really needed....the breeds and descriptions, the method of agriculture and from whence it was pioneered, etc. I mean, its nice to know all that but to a "lay person", no pun intended, most of them have little interest in the in-depth methods of raising good eggs. It could run into alot of ink and paper and cut down on your profit?

Around here, local egg producers sell their eggs in (VERY upscale) Whole Foods Market with only stickers on the carton. The cartons are plain, (maybe even re-used) and they stick nicely-designed stickers on them.

If it were me, and I was doing it on a small scale, that is what I would do. Less capital layout. Henry, where do you intend to sell? Again, I'd be happy to help you design the stickers for free (it is my job).
Then you could give the flyers to new customers, or have a stack next to the eggs if they're in a store cooler.....

I am just selling them to people at my dads work and in my neighborhood I live in a place where people will pay allot of local food so its great. I was thinking about just giving it to new email costomers or maybe I could email it and save paper. I don't know Seachick I would love to have a sticker I will PM you about it.

Thanks Everyone,
Henry
