Should I remove her wing band?

It's done as a (mostly) permanent form of ID. Unlike leg bands which can snag or tighten wing bands are supposed to be sized for the bird to grow into. Your breeder probably has records for all the birds hatched on their farm and having a unique ID number makes it easy for them to keep records especially with breeding.

I just have ordinary hatchery birds so you wouldn't see bands on birds like mine. I don't show so I don't know if there's any sort of restriction about it?
Thanks again for your help. (And everyone else that replied as well)

Sounds like the best option is to leave it.

I would absolutely leave it on. They are indeed pierced through the wing skin, if you want to remove it now it would be more painful than merely leaving it in. She won't outgrow it, and if something were to happen someday where she was stolen or missing, you'll have proof of ownership. Make sure you take a picture of the number on it, just in case.

They're actually a really good way to identify multiple chicks at a young age, though I don't think too many show breeders actually use them. It depends on how much you're breeding and how many different pairings, I'd say. I'm sure it is slightly painful when they're applied, but then it's over.
