I candled today, day 7.. and 4 eggs out of 12 were looking dubious, a cracked shell, porus, and 2 that looked like the yolk was stuck to the shell. All of them show no signs of veins. They are white pekin eggs and I should be seeing something in them. the four I took out had nothing in them at all. Mom shipped them to me after saving them up a week and I'm sure she didn't turn them everyday.. they were stored in the barn at a relative temp of 45-50 degrees F. She has one hen laying and the other is not but the drake rides them all the time. I'm kinda dissapointed

Crack open one that youare sure is a no go.
See if it has the bulls eye in it.
Could be the drake is shooting blanks if you find none of the eggs are fertile.

that's a possibility.. it was kinda cold when they came..but they had no cracks and tha air bubble was moving pretty good. I let them sit 24 hours upright and another 24 upright in the bator..

well I can't see any veins at all on the other eggs so I wonder if they will or not. Should I just give up? They are white eggs and I'm sure I shouldv'e seen something in them by now..
