I don't know if the calcium in the layer feed is that great for them year round, but it wont hurt during laying season. Of course if you hatch some goslings, starter crumble is the way to go. If you have Tractor Supply nearby, their starter crumble is formulated for chicks and water fowl (water fowl need extra niacin). In fact the tractor supply grower formula (the one that is meant to be given between high protein starter and the layer feed at 20 weeks for hens) is not a bad maintenance feed for water fowl with 15% protein and no calcium.i feed them chicken's egg laying formula as basic feed and i give them winter grass veggies and bread but i didnt know they can eat corn !! ill difinantly try that tomorrow !!
is there anything i shouldnt feed them ??
