Should I take my duck kayaking with me in Lake Michigan?

What about something that lives IN the water? I have never been near any of the great lakes, but I hear some interesting "Big Fish" stories about some of the deep lakes in the mountains. Are there things in the water that would think a duck would make a nice snack?

I googled taking my duck out kayaking and came across this old post. I want to go in the bayou near lake MI. My duck is a welsh harlequin that lost her sister as a duckling so imprinted on us. Did you ever take your duck?

Only problem is predators under the water and those flying above. Snapping turtles are terrible predators.
