wondering should I take the turner tray out of my IncuView? or just let it be when lockdown comes around?

also, can you tell if they are done absorbing the yolk by candling? egg 15 and 10 seem to have most of it absorbed and one of the other ones I think I could see the stuff that should be developing in a yolk in there (sorry idk what should be in the yolk so idk what to call the "stuff"). could they hatch early?

Thanks in advance,
CAA

Really does not make any difference,,,, since there is nothing you can do about it. Not often but it does happen,,, that chicks hatch with yolk still not completely absorbed. Some of those chicks make it ,,,, and some don't.
I am not familiar with your incubator,,,,,,,, but during lockdown,, the egg turning is stopped. If in doubt,, that turning still may happen, then remove. Make sure there are no openings as a result,,, where chicks feet might get caught in.

WISHING YOU BEST ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,with your hatch,,,,, :highfive:

I like to take the turner out for lockdown, but I have never had issues leaving it in. The only downside to leaving it in is that it gets dirty, which just makes us harder for clean up after the hatch. I have the same bator.

I am not familiar with that specific incubator. It looks like you lay the eggs flat during incubation and the turner works by rolling them. My turner works another way and is easily removable.

The two reasons I remove my turner is for ease of clean-up after hatch and to remove places a baby chick could get a foot, wing, or head stuck. From the photos I saw when I looked your incubator up I did not see a place that looks like it could get a chick part stuck. I also looked up the instructions for your incubator and read this, assuming you have the new model:

We recommend leaving the eggs in the turning tray during the hatch.

I'm not sure why they recommend leaving the turner in but since they do I'd leave it in. Just make sure it is not working.
