That rooster is not a RIR. He is a very pretty mixed breed.
Thanks for letting me know he's a mix. He is beautiful though. I don't think my all my hens are RIR either, 2 of them are for sure.

Most hatchery sourced RIRs are more likely Production Reds. True RIRs are a solid, deep mahogany red color. If a mostly red/golden/brown hen has white in the tail, it's most likely a type of red sexlink. RIRs, Production Reds, and red sexlink females are frequently confused and mixed up by people.Thanks for letting me know he's a mix. He is beautiful though.
