Should I take to show?

We have some of our chickens entered in a show thats tommorrow. We just bought them a few weeks ago and haven't been able to tame them to well. The Roosters, especially the big D'Uccle one, are skitsy and threatening. Most of them don't like being held.

Will the judges be able to handle them to judge them or will the just DQ them? Should I skip the ones that are hardest to handle?

They may act tough now but when in a cage it could change. It seems like the meaner a bird is the better it shows because it isnt affraid of anything. And judges dont always have to handle birds, some just look at them through the cage. Take them anyway, it will be fun.

You really can't expect chickens (especially roosters and especially certain breeds) to be extremely friendly. They are not like dogs where you would expect them to have a nice "showing personality". Unless the judging category is personality, I would not worry. It would be unprofessional to judge livestock on the basis of its behavior in the ring.

Okay I was just checking cause we tried bathing today, the first hen was okay an oegb, the second was more scared and so we just got her leg feathers clean a D'Uccle, and the last hen a Sebright didn't like being held at all so we just washed the poo off her feet. We didn't wash either Rooster, OEGB and D'Uccle, cause we are kinda afraid of what they would've done

So we are off to buy locks, mats for the cage floor, and baby wipes to clean off the 2 roos and any last minute stuff.
