Should I treat my dying hen for scaly leg and dust her for lice?

One of my hens definitely has scaly leg, I wasn't sure about the rest so I thought I'd treat all to be safe. So far just dipped their legs in oil the last two nights. One of my silkies has since been doing poorly, her breastbone is protruding, so I think the stress of the dips pushed her over the brink. Anyhow the hens also have lice, lucky me, not too severe but I don't want to let it get worse. My question is do I bother treating the one who seems to be on her way out? I feel like on one hand maybe it will help, but maybe it will kill her!

I would treat.Do you think seperating would be bad? I usually brought hens inside my house and put them in a cage. Not sure I would bring them inside with buggies, but I probably have!

I would treat and hope for the best. I always treat and often they die.The stress I know killed my parakeet when I took it to the vet.Felt bad,but it was surely dying at home. Treatment might have sped up my other roos death.Feel really bad on that one.I treated my cat.Force fed it and gave it pills for her liver and she made it.So happy for that one.Had to cull one hen. That was tough.Dog treated and recovered.Anyway.....

you do what you feel is best.Sometimes they live and sometimes they won't.You just have to make a choice and go for it.Healings for the hens!!!!

Well she seemed to do a bit better yesterday but this morning she died. I did treat her the night before last but I don't think that had anything to do with her death. We have had three deaths over the past 2 years that were similar, we haven't noticed until its too late that something is wrong. They all were eating, drinking, pooping ok but become emaciated and then die within a few days. Obviously they become emaciated over a period of time but I don't notice it until they are having troubles walking or getting up because they don't have any other symptoms.
I didn't cull her right away because I really want to have a success where I actually save one.
