Should I trim my Silkie Bantoms head fluff?

We just got a silkie bantom from a nearby farm. Shes 6 months old and quite tiny. I'm not sure if I should trim her fluff or not. Any ideas?

I never trimmed any of mine when I had silkies, but a pic would be nice... Honestly I don't see why not? I used to have to trim my feathered show girls' feet so that poo didn't become "blocky boots" on their feet.
