One of my welsummer hens is very smart and escapes the enclosure nearly every day. Today I found her hidden nest. 14 eggs behind a shrub up against the house. Both of my roos are welsummers and that is the breed I wanted to hatch this year. Temps are ranging from 68 during the day to 18 at night. Does any one think it would be worth trying to put these eggs in the incubator?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

She jsut had her afternoon outing. No there are 15 eggs. I gathered them up and brought them in the house but still unsure how to proceed. Help please.

Sure, go ahead and try. The older ones may not hatch, but then again, they might. You aren't out much by trying.
