Should I try to let Turkey hen adopt newborn poults?

So I’ve recently hatched out 5 Narragansett poults. I had ordered them off eBay in hopes of hatching out at least one Tom, as last spring I hatched out five that turned out to be all hens. Two of the hens have been consistently fighting over rights to some of my game chicks that they adopted( these chicks have done way better with them than they usually do in my brooder process). Should I see if one of the Turkey hens would accept these poults? Note that they hatched out yesterday.

I have a turkey hen every year that adopts poults for me. I remove poults from my turkey hens as they become dry. There is just too much that can go wrong with poults in the general population during their first two weeks. Once they are two weeks old, I will let a hen adopt them. The adopting hen will have had her poults removed from her within a couple of days of the attempted adoption.

I place the pouolts in my grow out pen and allow the hen in. I stay right there with her until I have determined whether or not she will adopt them. If she is going to adopt them, she will approach them while cooing and herd them all into a group in a corner. It can sometimes take a couple of days for the poults to accept her as their mother.

If she is not going to adopt them, she will start pecking at their heads. If I see this kind of reaction, I immediately remove the hen and forget about the attempted adoption.
