Should I use vinyl flooring at all?

Thanks everyone for your help.I've decided to go ahead and put it down. I will run it up the sides a little as was recommended. I am using the non-adhesive type, so I can take the whole thing out if I want. Then I'll top with straw or shavings. I was just mostly worried about bumble foot.:D

Don't the chickens eat/peck on the interlocking foam? I had some outside in a play area for my son and the chickens totally pecked at it. I was worried about them eating it and getting sick

I use vinyl flooring as well splayed leg happens just like birth marks happen. I think it is more a genetic issue than a flooring thing. Birds are more susceptible to this condition when they are chicks from my experience. I have never had a bird develop this condition later on in life (excluding Meat Kings or White Cornish crosses).

Everyone has good ideas. And no one seems concerned with bumble foot, which was my main concern. So...I'm going to go ahead and lay it down. I went and got a remnant piece of non-adhesive flooring. It's supposed to really stay put when laid, and then I could take it out if I need to. Thanks everyone!
