My first chick hatched Sat (day 20) and the last pip hatched this morning (day 22). I still have 14 eggs with no pips. My humidity went up to 80% for a while yesterday when most were hatching and it took a while to get it down. I have not had any pips since. It is getting pretty messy in there with all the poo, and they are starting to eat it

So I was wondering if I should give up on the rest of the eggs, did the high humidity drowned them? I did take out the ones that hatched Sat already, but am afraid to open and take anymore out and have humidity drop if there is any hope for the rest of the eggs.
Thanks everyone!

No ideas???

Should I take all the hatched chicks out so I can hear if any of the eggs are peeping?? I think if I just take a window out I can get them without letting humidity drop too much (just might burn myself on the heating element

Yes, take the rest out. You may get a few late hatchers but they probably will not be very healthy. Although it sounds like you had a drawn out hatch, so you may get more to hatch in a day or so. But it is not worth stressing out your healthy hatched ones for maybe a few.I tried that taking the window thing out once and that was enough for me! ( I burnt myself) It is not worth it IMO.
