I was wondering if chlorine would affect the eggs that my ducks will eventually lay. We have a landscaped pond in our backyard, and we shock it with chlorine every now and again to keep algae from growing. This morning I let my ducks out and the pond was a literal bubble bath. I know that that can't be good for them, but I was wondering if it may do something to their eggs. I am scared that it will, as they have been swimming in that pond all day, every day for about 2 weeks, and before that at least once a day... we will be eating their eggs so idk if the chlorine will make it's way into our mouths... ugh. They are about 10 weeks old and I started to let them out all day without supervision at 8 weeks old... I want to know so I can stop letting them go in/ or stop shocking the pond.
