Should I worry about membrane wrapped around fully formed egg?

About the same situation as I have. I also tried bringing grass to them, but I don't think it's as beneficial that way. I'm using a chain link skirt on the tractor, so they can scratch without tangling their feet, but it's almost as good as buried wire underneath when it's staked out long. I don't have the egg problem during molts, but if I'm late bringing them in for the night, they still try to break out and get frustrated. That's why I am adding a coop on the tractor. I'm hoping I'll only need to move them once, that way, and they'll get used to it.

At night, the hens go into a coop with a small run, which is completely covered with hardware cloth (even underneath the whole coop, under a foot of dirt). That is where her favorite nesting box is (it's actually built into the coop). In order to give them access to grass, during the day, I put them in a tractor type movable pen. One hen has no problem laying an egg in the grass or in the outdoor nesting box- but the aforementioned gal is very particular.
Well, they can have very strong habits, the stress of not being able to get to her nest may have caused the 'backup'.

Does she have free access to the nests?
It called something like anti peristalsis...shelled egg back up in the system and gets more membrane added.
thank you, part. She doesn't have access to the nesting box she likes...but she has access to a nesting box. I'll check out anti peristalsis.

Thanks, Bug Stalker. Yeah. I'm gonna try to build something kind of netting thing all around their coop so they'll be able to use their favorite nesting box AND also find some grass.
