Hi one of my chickens has almost stopped laying. She laid 5 or 6 eggs per week during winter and mostly throughout September.
Then she went down to 4 or 3 a week during October and 2 per week lately.

She laid one egg Monday last week and hasn't laid since.

She is happy behaving normally eating and drinking. Haven't seen any weird poo around.
She is around 18 months old, not molting, a cross between an Australorp and a RIR I believe.

Should I check for bound eggs? I don't think she has the symptoms but I'm not experienced.
What should I check or look for?
I just want to make sure she is just having a break but she is healthy.

This morning she was in the nesting box, but still no eggs from her.

Thanks for your advice

Nop, she was broody in February and couldn't break her so gave her fertilised eggs and she was a great mum. That time she was constantly in the nesting box all day and night.
Now she goes in like when she lays and then get out after a while but no egg:th

Yeah I've just found am egg from her early this morning.

Yes it got hotter but right now here in Canberra it is not too hot: 3C degrees in the morning...

So I guess she is all right :)
Only slowing down egg production for whichever reason:confused:

Does temp have to do with molt I think molt is to replace damaged feathers not because of winter but I’m not 100 on it
If there’s not cold temp that would mean they have the same feathers there entire life and wouldn’t be very pretty
I could be wrong but I’m curious to find out
