Should it take this long?

I have another question, there was this lump of goop that came out with the duckling. Is this normal or is something wrong?

There is usually a lump of goop in the eggshell. It can stay in the shell or spill out and look messy. If the goop is not stuck to the duckling, there is no problem.

If the goop is stuck to the duckling, try posting a picture-- it could be the usual stuff from the eggshell, or it could be a yolk sac that didn't finish absorbing. The two things get handled differently.

At fist it was attached by a small string of goop, but then after he started to move around it came off. Here is a picture

Ok so another question. One other egg is hatching and there is this yellow stuff coming from inside while he’s trying to unzip. It looks like the yolk, is this normal?
