Welcome to Backyard chickens. For 50 birds your coop will need to be big, as in HUGE!!
Are you planning on layers or meat birds? Or maybe both?[/

Im only wanting layers.. I don't think I could eat a bird I raised.....so far only 5 hatched they were knocking the other eggs around while trying to get their balance ..so I put them in a brooder,.will take a picture soon as I figure it out

Because the eggs got used like bowling pins...will that of hurt the ones in the eggs?

Should the heat lamp be higher?

They started hatching at 5 this morning and no more since nine or so... except first one hatched yesterday in the evening

Should the heat lamp be higher?

That depends on what the temp is at the chicks level, should be in the range of 90°F to 95°F You can adjust it to whatever temp they need to stay warm.
