My 6month old (to the day) D'Uccle pullet has developed a huge bright red comb and now squats on occasion. However, I have yet to receive an egg from her.
Her abdominal capacity is large enough, her vent is big enough and she has good weight to her. She is on a layer ration.

Should I be expecting eggs soon? There is nowhere for her to hide any eggs.

You might want to give her the pelvic bone test. What you are looking for is the distance between the pelvic bones. Those bones have to spread enough to allow an egg to pass thorugh. It it is over 2 fingers wide you will be seeing eggs very soon. Having a bright red comb and squatting are also good signs that you will be seeing eggs very soon.
