So basically my dad and I are incubating 23 eggs, and they're currently on lockdown, one already hatched and quite a few more are pipped, seems like everything's ok right? I wish, my dad decided to put in some more water through the hole in the top where the thermostat wire is, after a little while the incubator started acting up, and broke. We found out that he got the incubator computer and wires wet so it completely messed it up. It isn't regulating the temperature we need and my dad is panicking, he has a plant heating pad under and slightly over it trying to keep the temperature consistent. My dad is conflicted on what he needs to do either stay up all night keeping watch on the incubator, or moving the eggs to another incubator. We have another incubator that works just fine but he doesn't know if he should move the eggs to the other incubator, in fear of shrink wrapping the chicks still hatching.
Any advice would be appreciated, and hopefully ease our minds on what we should do.

Oh my god... That's a predicament.
I think you should boot up the other bator and get it up to temp/humidity ASAP. If I were you I'd get those babies in the new bator once it has stabilized. Maybe 4 hours will do?
You won't shrink wrap if you move quickly and carefully. Maybe grab out of incubator and transfer eggs one by one in a small Tupperware container lined with a moist warm washcloth. I've never done that but I think it's what I'd do if I were in your position.

Good luck!!!

What I would do is get the other incubator warm and humid first, then get a very warm, damp (not soaked) rag or paper towel to cover the pips while you carry them to the working incubator. Once they're in the incubator, remove the rag/paper towel and leave them alone to hatch.
I had a similar problem and I flat out carried a pipped chick through –10°F weather to my chicken house and got him under a broody and he hatched just fine. So as long as you're quick I really don't think you need to be worried about shrink wrapping.

Thanks, Im trying to tell him at the moment that we need to start the other incubator up but he is watching the thermostat like a hawk

Alright, thank you, I'll try to get him to do this as soon as I can
Just go ahead and move them. A brief period of lower humidity won't hurt them. Just make sure the new incubator is up to temp and humidity first and then move them.
Ok, thank you

He's now saying that the incubator might be working now, but its still irregular :/
Hopefully it goes back to normal soon
