Should we put feed in the coop or the run or both

This may be a silly question. But do we need to keep food and water in the coop when chickens in for the night? Do they drink or "snack" while in the coop?

Or do they only eat during the day?

There are no silly questions! We were all beginners once -- every one of us.

No, they don't eat or drink at night. However, they wake up VERY early, at first light, and ready to eat and drink.

I do leave food and water out in the coop for mine. "They are Early Risers!". lol
