Should we start subcutaneous fluids?

Well I'll add that to my list of ways to administer fluids then. I feel like sub-q would be easier for some.
It's trickier because of the air sacks, but it's a great way to get fluids into them. I have a video I can email you if you're interested.
 
If you got the fluids and the expertise, I'd do it.
I ended up taking him to an avian specialist and they did give him subq- and food via tube. I was so stressed out by this point that it was a huge relief for me to hand him over to an expert. And then I stressed all the way home about whether taking him to the hospital was causing him too much stress 😂
