We show goldens and Irish Wolfhounds. We have taken dogs to Westminster Kennel Club and across the country to show. Right now my Irish Wolfhound Natalie has finished her Championship and will be going to Westminster in the spring hopefully.

be prepared to wait.      Took me over 3 years to get the boy I have now.     Find a breeder you like and dogs you like and then wait for the right puppy to come along.     :)

It's not something you can rush but it's worth the wait!

I know two breeders, 1is 30minutes away, with cute but ok dogs/puppy's. 2nd is 5hr away with AMAZING!! Blue Merle's! So I'd have to wait ether until I get a car and job or until I have a job so my brother can take me cuz it's to far for mom and dad.

Beautyful! I just don't like wire coats. Lol, I'm picky.

Go to any and every show you can get to (or study on t.v.) talk to the other handlers, breeder/owners and judges( if you can get to them)...
AKC.org has a bevy of information for beginners, IMO.
Best wishes for an excellent choice in dog life and a successful path along the journey.

Thanks. :) I've read the book: Show Dog; by Josh Dean. It's about a blue Merle Aussie stud who was 1-2yrs old when he finished out.
His name is Wyndstats Honarble Mention AKA jack.:)

I want this puppy!
He's perfect!
If only had $$

This ones not as good but loving his look though. But I'd take ( first one)

I have Standard Longhair Dachshunds. I show in conformation, field trials, earthdog, agility, rally, obedience and tracking. Also my 9 almost 10 year old son shows in Jrs and in breed.

Some of us~Cough-Cough~ aren't old enought for adult drinks. Lol, well if you go with the law,.......
You showd a bedlington? I'm not found of them.

After I got done with my own guffaw, it dawned on me that some of us have different regional dialects...

like when I went 'next door' to PA and asked a clerk "where's your pop", he looked at me like I was from Venus and finally asked me if I meant "soda" ?

Glad he couldn't read my mind for the 'new' words I began to call him and then I had to take it all immediately back as I know he is as human as I am...
I meant beverage, not alcohol...soda...pop...soda-pop...sorry for any mix-up. No 'intent' meant

Congratulations on finishing your Wolfie! Will dream she comes home with the Gr. in front of her name next spring.
Gorgeous dog! (I LOVE that wired coat...)
I swore after I lost my Great Dane that this would be the next breed for me...then fell in love with a Mastiff X, blowing my chances for that for the next 6 years, maybe?
Long live Hazel, but my heart does belong with the Wolfies...
BF said he'd kick me out if "you ever come home with another 'BIG' dog"... ha...that was three very big dogs ago!! LOL...
He'd melt, like the stick of microwaved butter that he is, just at the mere sight of one of these pups, and I will be one heck of a happy camper.
