i tried to take a pics today, but the gurlfriend was mad cause i was spending toooo much time with the chickens...lol........well anyway the speckle roo doesnt look like a mottled...

well the pic isnt too good but i notice that there are feathers on their feet... i think that the guy that i bought them from over mate them and just use them for breeding

I am not thinking so either Jennings. I think you should talk to your guy you bought them from, he steered you wrong. Now don't get me wrong, they are good looking chickens and the hen will lay you eggs I am sure,but they are not cochins. The hen looks more like a copper maran or some sort of maran the roo I am not sure what it is for sure.

I have a blue cochin, I cant get a good pic of her right now, I would have to track thru 3 inches of mud to get to her. her pen is high and dry and she just hatched out a JG chick. I also have a partridge like yours. She is so tiny tho. She is hatchery stock.
