this isnt the best pic, i know but this was from a week ago, the black and white chick staring at the camra is one of my two polish chicks. my other one is tan right now, can anybody who has had a tan one as a chick post how it looks as an adult? idk if it will be golden or brown.... anyway heres the pic
he is adorable! also that all black chick not facing the camra is my black silkie, cute as can be. cant see the tan one in this pic though. only tan cochins.EDIT: by the way, i mean the all black one thats not next to my polish. the silkies name is philip. i dont know why, i just thought he looked like a philip.
I hope I post these right. This is my first post on here. The polish roo is Puff and the hen is Ommy. These are my son's. He wanted chickens and did some research and decided he wanted polish chickens.
Naturally, I fell in love with them and now I'm chicken crazy. Our girl just started laying eggs and we're incubating them (she won't sit on them). I'm hoping they're girls cause we can't keep any roo's. We recently had to move these two to my husband's brother's house cause someone complained about our roo. We live in the city and can only have hens but we didn't want to separate them. Soo, now we need some girls to keep with us. Puff is the most affectionate rooster I've ever seen. He loves attention. Ommy is a sweet heart too. Everyone that sees them thinks it's a riot cause they're the most domesticated chickens they've ever seen.
This is Coral. The only proof I have that a Polish chicken can be interesting. She is a ring-dinger, loads of personality. She does the chest bump with our youngest Silkie roo. She stands at the fence and conducts lengthy discussions with my Labradoodle. If the dog expresses his affection by trying to give her a friendly lick, she pecks his tongue!
She is a character, which contrasts with our other three Polish who are kinda clueless.
I love the frizzle polish. I bought a white crested black polish roo at a auction a while back. We went with the intention of selling a crate full of roosters. My little girl was so upset by the way that the men were handling the chicken and roosters that she was crying. I just happened to spot this polish rooster in a cage. We got him out to look at him so I bidded on him and he was a no sale. I ended up paying like $10 for him and selling my for $2.00 but it took my little girls mind of the ones we were selling. I am not sure how to upload photos to this post or I would show you Scuttles. He is pretty alright, pretty clueless. lol. Someone please tell me how to post pictures to these posts.
Thanks
