Pits are really sweet dogs.
People treat them without trust and they pick up on that, and if they aren't trained properly they get confused.

If that was true, then all dogs would have the reputation of pits. Pits and their mixes make up about 6-10% of the dog population. In the 15-year period of 2005 through 2019, canines killed 521 Americans. Pit bulls contributed to 66% (346) of these deaths. Combined, pit bulls and rottweilers contributed to 76% of the total recorded deaths.

2 days prior to Thanksgiving our 25 year old grand daughter was attacked by a Pit bull. If three people had not stopped their cars and interceded, she might have been added to that list.

They are Maremma, Anatolian Great Pyrenees mixes. I love these dogs so much

She was immediately taken to a trauma center and is going to be physically okay. She is a runner, and is having psychological problems about returning to running. She's from tough stock and will be okay.
