At one time we dual registered a golden retriever both AKC and UKC for competition in obedience trials. Pits are a recognized breed by the UKC. UKC shows/competitions were both conformation and obedience with two competitions of each type daily. We met a lot of very nice pit bulls. We also saw some dogs disqualified for as little as growling in the show ring.

I wanted a golden doodle..hubby said if someone broke in that it wouldn't be scary enough..I gush whenever I see one..theyre sooooo cute.
They can be wonderful companions, and very protective. Our dogs listen well and are well socialized, but we’re lucky that I work at home. Not that I’m all that with regard to training, but they are high energy and super smart; if left to entertain themselves they could’ve definitely been trouble.

Yea, if we could have figured out why they were aggressive before getting rid of them we would have kept them. Although they would be about 8 or 9 by now.
Ours would do that to our patio doors we use to have.
