Show me your duck coops/pens so u can help other people like me get ideas

Love your duck yard beautiful. What type of filtration system do you have on your pond?

I have a pump that has a basket to catch large debris, a uv light to help with algae, and in the tank, I use swamp cooler pads to filter out smaller particles. We have had the pond for 15 years, and it has never been as clear as it is with our ducks. Isn't that crazy?

Under the lily pads, there is 7 layers of swamp cooler filters

This is the main pump, still going strong after 15 years. The round part is where the basket is, I change the filter every day.

Beautiful Koi they they get along with the ducks? lol

When the ducks were babies, the koi would suck at their little feet and scare the living daylights out of them. Now they mostly ignore each other, but sometimes they will fight for food :). My two drakes will actually dive and chase their nemesis Bandit around the bottom of the pond :)

I have always had koi ponds so I never figured ducks and koi could coexist because of the nitrogen added by the ducks heres a photo of my last koi pond. I do not have a garden pond here at my new house

That is a beautiful pond! We were concerned about the nitrogen levels too, but like I said, it seems to be creating an even healthier pond environment with the help of the ducks. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we lovingly refer to our koi as "garbage koi" they aren't traditional japanese koi, but more closely resemble carp. They are very hardy, surviving freezing winters and very hot summers. Most of our fish are over 20 years old, except for their offspring.
