That’s amazing Pearls bumble was no different after 7 days of antibiotics so I popped that thing out.

No this was at the peak. I took her to the vet because soaks etc were two hard on both of us. Antibiotics and she was all good in 10 days.

You’re very lucky, and hopefully your vet ran a culture. glad your girl is doing well.

After 2 cases of bumblefoot this Spring, I’ve implemented a weekly inspection on all my duck’s feet. Better to catch it earlier than when they start to limp.

of course the ducks hate it, but I cannot afford to spend $$$ on vet surgery if I can avoid advanced complications.

This is the only bumble I ever had. My vet is very experienced with birds, when I can get her attention. We never had to open it. But even after she was all good that toe never looked exactly normal.

Oh and after she got all well and I could eat her eggs again, she got eaten....

Coyote or bobcat. I would never eat a good laying hen. She was a Golden 300. Now my jerk of a drake, I'm tempted....

I just got the last box yesterday. So starting to put together tomorrow morning. We take Sundays off.

Yes they do especially if you feel a hard kernel but did you get anything out? I have never had a bumble clear up on its own I’ve always had to soften the scab pull it off and get the bumble out.

I haven’t cut on anyone yet. There are so many different versions of treatment that I’ve read on, that it seemed like they didn’t have it bad enough to go straight into “surgery”. I was taking the soaking and bandaging approach...
