My girls Vanilla and Chocolate, sadly Vanilla passed away so her sister Chocolate has become the favorite and most spoiled out of the more than 100 chickens around.

Miss Blue, my bantam silkie hen! Not sure if she’s purebred or mixed or what, but she sure is pretty! She loves to sing, too.

I'm with FoxySonia! I also bought a little bitty gray chick, on impulse. She, too, turned out to be a porcelain d'uccle. I call her Duckel. What a darling! She loves attention from people, but is a loner, when it comes to other chickens. I had never heard of this breed before. She is quite literally peach and pale blue in color. I am aware, of course, that "blue"typically describes gray plumage, not actual blue. Not in her case. She is a sweet, baby blue color! Never seen the like! I don't know what I would do, with a bunch of bantams. We raise chickens for our own egg needs, and to sell to per homes Still, I have to say, for sheer beautr and sweetness, this little Duckel is the finest chicken to have! Cameras never capture the fill richness of her coloring. Such a pretty girl!!!
