Show me your open coop!

Here is my hoop house I just finished.

Here's a pic of mine almost finished. We just moved the chicks in over the weekend. I'm south of Phoenix, AZ so it is very hot here. The run has a solid metal roof over the first 8 feet from the coop, and will be covered with shade cloth over the rest for the summer. Still working on getting trees in for permanent shade.

This is mine for hot Florida! Wasn't quite finished when pix were taken. It's much prettier now! It's open as you can see on the front (South facing) wall and with ventilation on both sides at the top and of course the door. Chickens free range every evening:) The fencing material was cheap, but we did spend a bit on the siding ($20 for each 5 feet section I think. Roofing material was pretty inexpensive too. I know we spent a bit more than others do for just a coop/attached shed but we wanted something that was going to look good in the yard! We have since converted the attached shed into an additional coop! Chickens, after all, are addicting!
