I know nails can also be reused, but taking out a screw is so easy with a power drill or impact wrench and usually it comes out straight. Nails are often bent, or sometimes the heads pop off. I prefer to use screws whenever I have a choice.
The Torx head screws have far fewer strip outs. But they cost more. Sometimes it's worth the extra money depending on the build.

Most of my pallet projects are put together with cheap drywall screws which I buy by the pound at our local Fleet store. Good enough for most projects. Special projects might require the more expensive Torx head screws. But I cannot remember the last project that I pounded nails. It's been that long.
