Wow, Doubletap! Sweet cage! I am all about the recycling thing. I am collecting pallets to make a suitable quail house. Almost have gotten rid of all my rabbits, lol

Pallets would be good but the ones I tried had VERY GOOD nails. In others works I couldn't get the nails out without breaking the boards.

This is my new quail pen. I wanted to wait until every thing was green again before I took pics. Flight is about 10'l x 8'w x 6't. It usually has hay on the ground but I cleaned and replanted some of the fern the cold weather had killed. I took the pics before I laid any.

this is one I built its 3'x20"x24" with a 4" over hang in the bottom front for the eggs to roll out for easier collection the front also has 2 holes in it with bird cage feeders for food and water and a door on the back for accsess to inside the pen. when its mounted on its legs it has a slope of 2" from front to back

I call this photo Before the First Drop Falls. There are many details included on My BYC Page, under "coturnix-quail." I have 10 jumbos that are 2 weeks old, and 24 that are 4 weeks old. I may move the older ones to the new pens this weekend, depending on the weather. This is my first try at raising quail.
