Show me your quail pens!!!

Can I use a fish tank as a quail cage. I have 1 Texas a&m quail (looking to get one more). Also what should I put in her cage?

how big is the fish tank?
also i would get another quail or 2, i would keep them as girls, if you add a boy you will need 4 girls to keep him happy or he will pester the one girl.
i have heard people keeping button quails in a large fish tank with a wire mesh on the top of the tank.

While I clean their big cage (Living World XL rabbit cage) I put the four hens in a 20 gallon aquarium with sand and treats in it while I clean their big cage. When I go to put them back, if it's been a deep clean where I disinfect it all, wash out their sand box tote, etc. then when I go to lift them out of the temporary aquarium, it stinks with your face above it and it actually gets several degrees hotter in there so my advice for keeping coturnix in an aquarium would be to have a large shallow and wide one for just a couple of quail or else it's going to get gross in there real fast and it's not healthy for the quail to be breathing in their poop 24/7 with no circulation.

I really prefer rabbit cages over aquariums for coturnix

this is my pen, i have put up the green cover to keep them extra warm as my quails are only 3 weeks old.
the pen also has persex all around to keep out the wind and rain. also they do use a ladder, they all love going up and down the ladder all day long.

the pen is 5 feet long 3 feet wide with a second level.

This is the chicken coop I designed and built myself. I had been raising chickens in it for 4 years but now I have California Quail. It is kind of a cross between a cage and a flight pen. It has three layers and they love running up and down the ladders. That is my breeding pair, standing under the heat lamp.

5 gallon bucket gravity feeds poultry cups.




Egg collection was never easier.
