Here is a picture. Added lines to show where I'll add doors and the white tarp for waste. It's made of hardware cloth, so no kits getting out and no ears chewed by the bun next door. Two problems I learned of while researching. The bottom is stiff shelving, much smaller spacing than the standard you see at stores.

Done with one!! Took 4 straight hours, but it's done.

Picked up a 20lbs bag of rabbit food, two water bottle converters for 2lt bottles & J clips[no help, more stress]. Got the dividers in and started the front with the doors. Will finish the rest tomorrow. Hung 3 bottles on the finished cage. Yay!

That is really great!!! What is giving the top portion strength? Is there frame work of some sort?

The wire is 36in tall, so I just folded it in half to make the back and top, cut out a square so the back could also fold to become the short sides. Sooo, the short sides and the back as well as the two dividers support the top, though nothing will be up there. I think that's what you meant by " top portion." If not, lol, let me know what you really meant.​

I got some little felt blankets/towels, do rabbits like to lay on those and NOT eat them? Otherwise, I'll use the bigger ones to cover the cages.

Finished the 1st cage, all but the lock for each door. The blanket on top are to keep them a bit warmer and to look neater.
The 2nd cage, I have to flip how I hung the doors and get locks for them. Then I have to put legs on it and lastly, add the white tarp for poo/pee.

I recommend hay not towels, they will probably eat those, and longhaired bunnies already have enough digestive problems from all the hair.


The second thing I recommend, is make sure your door opens OUT towards you, and not in. I have some of both and realized the ones that open IN are a pain in the you-know-what. The buns wont get out of the way, or the treats get in the way, or the bowls, all kinds of issues. I wish all mine opened out.

On another note; they look GREAT!
