Show me your roosts please

I used some walnut and locust limbs that are 3 to 4 inches in diameter. Good size, textured for grip and rounded for their feet.

With the tilted ladder style roosts, it seems like they would end up pooping ON each other. Do you have problems with that?

My coop has only been in use for about a week now

But so far its working great. They use the roost just like they should, and I have linoleum down under the roost for a poop board. Takes seconds to scrape it off, with only 1 roo, 1 hen and 3 chicks.

They all face forward when they roost, at least I've never seen any turned around, so they easily miss the others when they gotta go. It makes for a lot of roosting area but of course everybody wants the top spot, that's when the pecking order kicks in.

Mine face both directions so I separate the roosts by a couple of feet. These roosts are just a couple of saplings I had to cut down anyway.

All but about 5 of them squeeze onto the top one though. It's hard to tell but these limbs are a lot sturdier than the pic shows (rope is there just in case the nails come loose on the skinnier end of that branch).
