Show Me Your Turkey Runs/coops/enclosures!

Well, that is a bare minimum, actually. The average recommendation is 6 sq ft per turkey, but, you can get by with less if you need to.

so would a shed that's 8' wide, 12' long, and 6' high be okay for 1 male and 2-3 females? they will have about... 15' X15' of pen out side to run around.

my shed is 10x12, and holds up to 15 turkeys comfortably, my turkeys only go into the shed at night to roost or during severe weather, otherwise they stand outside more than inside.

Working on our new coop and run . Coop is 8x16

I came across this post in doing research also. My birds started out with my chickens but the chickens started nipping at the turkeys rear ends and caused them to bleed. I chose them to separate them and this is what I came up with.

I figured the aviary netting would fail during the winter (frozen rain and snow). It did, but I was able to fix it with zip ties for the time being. After building my second chicken yard, I've decided that the field fence (Lowes) works great. In the pic you can see it from the ground up and then the net lays over. I'm going to wrap a second layer around the yard, tie the corners together with 2x4's - up top and bring fence over the top and tie it together. Similar to this...

Once that's done, I have some ideas for a pallet coop that I'm gonna place in the yard for the new hens.
