oh I do not know that at all,m don't have turkeys yet, may not be able to do it due to not enough room. My CHICKENS were all gotten at different times and at various stages of their lives and they all get along fine now. It's the 2 roosters that don't. One is a huge Jersey Giant who wants to mate and breed like any other feller, but the other roo rules the roost and runs him off the gals. Im thinking seriously about rehoming the JG because he needs his own harem also.
Just don't want you to think Im giving advise cuz Im not an expert at all, haven't had chickens a year yet myself. Its a learning process and takes me alot longer to pick up all the info.

O thank you for your honesty. I am new to the turkey. My husband brought him home last night and he was going after my chickens. I was thinking that you were saying that you had chickens and a turkey living together. Sorry misunderstanding. And yes I agree it is all a learning process. I have had my chickens for a little over a year know and I am still learning the ins and outs about it! The Form on chickens is a lot of help. Have a great day!

My turkeys are now just over 8 weeks old and they run with the big chickens and all ARE getting along. I take them out of the fenced area and we go for a lawn walk so they can get some grass and scratch a little around the outside of the fence, they seem to really love our walks. They are so affectionate.
