show of your baby chickens

Oh Chris, how sad about Quinn. What a bright, lively little fellow he was. When I saw the heading of 'show off your baby chicks," I had to stop in for a good look. Little did I know I would run into you again. An unexpected bonus.

Hi Nancy,

Nice to "see" you again. Thank you about Quinn. After Mama decided that the kiddos should be independent, Quinn adopted me as his Mama. He would jump in my lap or on my arm and just talk to me. Oh how I miss him. His sister Trixie took over sitting on my arm after he passed. She talks to me. I am sure she misses him. She is almost 19 weeks old and laid her first egg today

Quinn 5/3/12 just minutes old. I had just gotten home from work to check on Mama. She was out doing her business and there he was hatching, Daddy is a Bantam Mottled Cochin and Mama is an Ameracauna.
His sister, Trixie, hatched overnight. The other 4 eggs- failure to grow.

Such a Mama's boy. On mom every chance he could.

Mama putting her foot down.

Getting a scolding

Serious talk with mama.

Spreading his wings.

Quinn at 11 weeks old. He passed away the next day after this photo. We think heat stroke.
Trixie to his right is his sister. The two in the back came from the feed store.
